Attendees got a tour the Department of Energy and Sandia Wind Farm Facility.

"We're excited to have so many people here, there's about 165 people attending the conference from all over the country and we're excited to kind of show them the partnership we have with Sandia out of the SWiFT facility as well as the different research facilities we have available here in Lubbock," a Lead Academic Advisor in the National Wind Institute, Kacey Marshall, said.

This is the first time it's been held in Lubbock.
