It has been another hot afternoon, and so far we haven't had any storms across the South Plains. There are storms developing near Amarillo as of 5:20.
TONIGHT: A cold front will be pushing through the area. This will help to fire some storms up for the rest of the evening and into the early morning hours. Some models are keeping the area dry while others break out storms across the eastern half of the area. Any activity will bring some areas of heavy rain like we have seen the last few days. Low near 71.
WEDNESDAY: High some what cooler at 93, mostly sunny with a slight chance for some storms during the afternoon.
EXTENDED: We will then dry out and warm back to the mid 90s by Thursday. This will continue through most of the weekend. As we get into next week we might see another chance for some rain late Sunday into Monday.
Have a great rest of your evening, join us tonight on the News at Nine.
