More or less a repeat

Another warm morning for us here across the South Plains, leads to another hot afternoon with the chance of storms. Beyond today it cools slightly and we are left with a drier pattern.

TODAY: Evening thunderstorms with partly cloudy skies, highs near 97°, and SSW winds 5-15mph.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with S winds near 10mph, and a low of 73°. Storms likely ending before midnight.

So far, it looks like we'll be sunny through the weekend as temperatures remain above average. Low temperatures will hover around 70°. No winter cold front yet! Fall however is just in 25 days, so there's that.
