Storms developed this afternoon as temperatures climbed. We actually tied the record at 100 degrees for Lubbock. If we don't fall below 73 degrees before midnight, we will set a new warmest low record for the day at 75.
Tonight the storms will come to an end before midnight, then partly cloudy. Low staying warm again at 73 with a south wind 10-18mph.
Tuesday near the same as it was today with highs in the upper 90s and low 100s. This will lead to another chance for storms to develop again. Also, a cold front will stall across the area. This will help the development for more activity late in the day.
EXTENDED: Rain chances diminishing some Wednesday with highs dropping to the lower 90s. The ridge of high pressure will build back bringing the sunny sky with low chance for any activity. We might see some storms area again by the weekend.
Have a great rest of your evening. Robert will have the next update to the forecast tomorrow morning on Good Day.
