Man arrested, accused of multiple robberies

Posted: Updated:

Lubbock Police have arrested a man accused of at least five robberies in July and August.

Leo Diaz, 19, is charged with five counts of robbery.

Detectives say witnesses described the same suspect each time, and named Diaz as a suspect.

He's charged with robbing the Marble Slab Creamery near 82nd and Orlando, the E-Z Mart near 34th and Salem, the 7-Eleven at 26th and Avenue Q, the Dollar General near Erskine and Clovis Road and the Dominos at 34th and Wayne.

Investigators say he demanded money from the registers, either showing a gun in the process, or pretending like he had one.

Diaz is held on $100,000 bond.
