A FEW STORMS: In the intense heating of the afternoon a few isolated showers and storms have popped up. The coverage is fairly limited. There are a few more storms in Eastern New Mexico. All of these are slowly moving ENE.
TONIGHT: We can't rule out a few more showers or storms late tonight/early Saturday morning. Chance is pretty low, though. After a low of 75 this morning it'll stay pretty warm again tonight, low near 72 or 73.
WEEKEND: The potential for storms looks even lower than Friday, though we can't rule out an isolated shower or storm both days. It'll be hot, high in the mid to upper 90s with it up around 100 off of the Caprock from Paducah to Spur.
NEXT WEEK: While high pressure aloft will dominate most of the southern United States, there might be support for a few storms late Monday, late Tuesday and late Wednesday. It still doesn't look great for rain. The general pattern just looks hot through next week.
Have a great weekend. Robert will have the next forecast update here Saturday afternoon.
