Texas Tech hosts sexual harassment summit

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Texas Tech hosts a three night, first-of-its kind summit on sexual harassment.

Inspired by the #MeToo movement, the summit hosts a number of national experts speaking on a widespread problems of sexism and the intersectional forces of racism, classism and heterosexism within higher education.

"This event is really about focusing on this problem in higher education, really educating people on what sexual harassment is, what it looks like, how to report an issue, how people can be an ally to those who are victims and where to go from here," Summit organizer Morgan Allen said.

Student tickets cost $15, while faculty and all others are $55.

The event lasts until Friday.
