TAG makes arrest in July shooting

In connection to the July 10th shooting near 19th Street and Avenue O, Roger Lusk, 18, turned himself in to investigators with the Texas Anti-Gang Center. 

Lusk, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, is now in custody and charged with aggravated assault.

The arrest was a joint investigation by TAG, the Lubbock Police Department and the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office.

In the early morning hours of July 10th, investigators responded to a call of shots fired near 19th Street and Avenue O. It appeared a suspect or suspects fired multiple shots out of a vehicle toward a home. Several people were standing in the front yard at the time of the shooting. Luckily, no one was struck.

Through the joint investigation, Lusk was identified as a suspect in the shooting and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Lusk is now in the Lubbock County Detention Center.

This case remains under investigation by TAG.
