Warmer afternoons, lower rain chances

Warmer afternoons, lower rain chances

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Some light showers moving northeast from I-27 and points east. Clearing from rain and clouds from west to east. Heavier rain towards I-20 towards Abilene and D/FW if traveling some flooding on the roadways might be a concern.

TODAY: Mostly and partly sunny at times, high near 87. Unlike the weekend most of us will remain dry, a few storms possible for the Rolling Plains.

TONIGHT: Low near 67 with a partly cloudy sky. A few showers might develop on the back-end of the storm system pushing out of the area.

TUESDAY: A little warmer with the highs in the low 90s. Some storms may develop again for the Rolling Plains, east of Lubbock.

EXTENDED: Low chance for rain through the week with the highs near average. For now the next chance for rain is next weekend.

Have a great Monday! Matt will be in with the latest forecast on the News at Nine.
-Bobby
