Warmer today, storm chances tonight

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Another cool morning where temperatures are in the upper 50s and 60s.

TODAY: A little warmer with the high at average of 93. Mostly sunny and a light south-southeast wind 6-12mph. A few late afternoon and evening storms for the northwestern South Plains. 

TONIGHT: Low warmer near 68, mostly cloudy with a 40% chance for showers and storms. A better chance for storms will stick to the northwestern counties with some areas could get a quarter of an inch or more. 

EXTENDED: Rain will come to an end early Thursday, then another small chance for some storms late Friday mostly. Overall a mostly sunny sky with temperatures climbing back to the mid to upper 90s going into next week.
