LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock City Council members approved an amendment to allow food trucks to expand where they can do business.

Vendors that complete a Parks and Recreation mobile food vendor agreement can now sell in some city parks. The director of Parks and Recreation will determine where exactly vendors will be allowed.

More than 120 food trucks currently have health permits in the city of Lubbock.

The new permit will cost $250 annually, which could net a projected $6,000 for the city in the first year.
