At least it's not 100

We remain hot tomorrow, but it looks like we will avoid the 100s for the most part this coming week. Tuesday especially will be much "cooler." Average afternoon highs in July are near 93°, so Tuesday looks to be an "average" day. The chance of isolated afternoon/evening storms also returns next week.

As for tonight, expect a low of 74 under clear skies and SW winds 5-10. Monday, a high of 97 is expected with mostly sunny skies, NE winds 10-15, and potentially an stray storm late in the day.

Temperatures look to remain in the mid 90s most afternoons some days producing a better chance for isolated storms than others. It's likely that the days that will actually see rain vary as the week progresses, but for now, I say the best chance is Tuesday, Wednesday, and potentially Sunday. We're almost through the "hottest" month for Lubbock climatologically, so here's to August!
