A repeat of Sunday in store for the area today

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

Over the weekend we had some isolated storms to bring a little rain relief while other locations stayed dry. Tech Mesonet recorded some rain totals:
O'Donnell 1.30"
Snyder 0.85"
Paduchah 0.23"
Dimmitt 0.22"
Sundown 0.19"

TODAY: Almost a repeat of Sunday, high near 95. Broken clouds and most of us will remain dry. There will be a stalled front in the northern Panhandle that might help a few isolated showers and storms develop.

TONIGHT: Low near 71 and a mostly clear sky.

HOT WEEK: A ridge of high pressure will be building from the west and this will help clear the moisture. It will also allow temperatures to climb back into the 100s across much of the region by midweek.

Join us on Good Day Lubbock until 9am. Matt will have the next update to the forecast on the News at Nine.
