Some showers, leading to more hot and dry conditions

More friendly showers this evening and possibly overnight. They'll be isolated at best. A stray storm is possible Sunday as well, but beyond that we dry out and heat up.

Tonight, expect a low of 72 with a few clouds and a shower possible. Winds will be out of the SSE around 10mph. On Sunday, a stray storm is possible but likely not as much coverage as Friday or Saturday. Storms will likely be isolated near and north of Lubbock. Expect a high of 95 with partly cloudy skies and SSE winds 10-15.

As an area of high pressure moves in next week, our skies will clear and our temperatures will approach 100 again for the second half of the week. Not much else to say beyond that.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Beryl is still meandering of the eastern seaboard, but will likely not make landfall.
