We have has showers and storms overnight and mainly for the northwestern counties. This has brought some good rain to Bailey County where Muleshoe is over 2 inches of rain. Other locations have received just a few hundredths to a few tenths. Movement is to the northeast and will likely continue this morning.
TODAY: High near 94, partly cloudy with a 20%-30% chance for afternoon storms. There is a little better shot for this activity to the western areas from the monsoonal moisture moving out of New Mexico.
EXTENDED: Rain chances will continue through Friday and maybe into early Saturday. We need as much as we can get across the area. Unfortunately, it will come to an end with warmer temperatures returning through the weekend. The low chances for storms and hot days will continue into next week.
