THIS AFTERNOON: So far storms have stayed west of the state line, across New Mexico. Storms are generally slowly moving from south to north, though there has been some eastward expansion.
An isolated storm is possible over the western South Plains this evening. Low tonight 70, mostly cloudy.
THURSDAY: Slight chance for a shower or storm in our area, with the chance a little bit better over the western South Plains. High near 94, wind S/SE 10-15mph.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Friday will nearly be a repeat of Thursday. Most of us will miss the storms, but a few locations may pick up some rain. Again high near 94.
It'll turn a little hotter this weekend with more sun. Sunday looks the hottest, near 97. Unfortunately, the pattern holds into next week with lots of sun and the storm chance staying low.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have the next forecast update here early tomorrow.
