LUBBOCK, Texas -

A few storms developed yesterday afternoon, most of the activity stayed to the southern half of the area.

Clear this morning with temperatures in the 60s.

TODAY: Clouds will build up again during the day with another chance for isolated to scattered storms. Not expecting any severe storms. Like we have seen the last couple of days, storms develop with lightning and quick heavy rainfall. High near 91, southeast wind 5-10mph.

TONIGHT: Low near 68, partly cloudy sky.

WEDNESDAY: Rain chances coming to an end with a mostly sunny sky, high near 93.

EXTENDED: Lower rain chances continuing through the week and weekend. Some storms might develop to the western counties Thursday and Friday from eastern New Mexico. Temperatures will continue raising to the mid to upper 90s by the weekend.

Join us on Good Day Lubbock until 9am. Matt returns tonight for the latest update on the News at Nine. Have a great day and don't forget the umbrella.
