Chance for storms today

Chance for storms today

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

We stayed dry yesterday afternoon with temperatures 5-10 degrees cooler.

We have the moisture in place with a few showers this morning. This activity has brought a few locations very light amounts of just a few hundredths of an inch.

TODAY: High near 87, partly to mostly cloudy with a east-northeast wind 10-15mph. Through daytime heating we should see some additional isolated to scattered storms. The storms should bring some light rain totals of a few tenths of an inch or less for some locations. So get the umbrella and keep it with you.

TONIGHT: Low near 68, we should see a small break in the activity with cloud cover continuing.

WEEKEND & NEXT WEEK: We will still have a good amount of moisture in place, highs will stay around the average of 93 degrees. This will help fire up some isolated storms through the weekend and even into early parts of next week. Mostly sunny sky will then take over with drier conditions by Tuesday.

Join us on Good Day until 9am. Robert will have the next updated tonight on the News at Nine. Have a great Friday and weekend!
