A storm possible tonight and hot, with a cold front on the way

Some rain possible today, but not like Friday. Expect the chance if an isolated thunderstorm this evening and again possibly Sunday.

Overnight, expect low temperatures near 71° with winds out of the SW near 10. A few clouds will remain overnight, and perhaps a lingering sprinkle after midnight somewhere across the area. Most of the rain, if we see any, will be isolated and likely be in the evening. Most storms will likely remain east and north of Lubbock.

On Sunday, the pattern is similar with temps in the mid 90s, a few clouds, and an isolated evening storm. A weak cold front is expected to pass, Sunday, and another one toward the end of the week. These fronts of course won't drop temperatures dramatically, but it will keep us away from the 100s at least.

Toward the weekend we are a little cooler with perhaps temps only reaching the upper 80s with some clouds, and some lows in the upper 60s.
