A cold front pressed through the area overnight. This brought the area some cooler morning temperatures and a breezy northeast wind.
TODAY: High much cooler than the 108° we had yesterday in Lubbock. High near 92, partly cloudy with clouds breaking up this afternoon. The northeast wind will continue to calm about 6-15mph through the day.
TONIGHT: Low near 68, might have a few isolated storms developing during the evening. Not expecting much in coverage or rain totals. Southeast wind returning 6-12mph.
TUESDAY: Ridge of higher pressure builds across the area again. This will bring the heat back to the area, high near 97.
EXTENDED: Staying hot and sunny for the rest of the week. Lows will warm back into the lower 70s. We might see another slight chance for rain next weekend with temperatures nearing average Sunday.
