THIS EVENING: Storms have developed in Colorado and New Mexico and are moving east. There's the possibility for a few storms to make it into our area, north of Lubbock. The better chance is farther north in the Panhandle, where there is a severe thunderstorm watch.
If any storms make it to our area they'll bring the potential of gusty wind and hail.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild, low 73. Wind S 12-22mph.
SATURDAY: Another hot day, though not quite as hot as today. High near 98, wind N/NE 8-15mph.
SUNDAY: Hotter and breezy, high 102. Wind S 12-22mph.
NEXT WEEK: It won't be quite as hot Monday and Tuesday, but then slightly hotter again by mid-week. We can't rule out a few isolated storms late Sunday or late Monday, but it's just not much of a chance. We badly need some rain, just don't see a good sign of it over the next week.
Have a great weekend. Robert will have a full update to the forecast Saturday afternoon.
