Last chance for showers, then hot and dry

Last chance for showers, then hot and dry

This evening, while a stray shower is possible, don't count on too much of a wet forecast. Overnight, we'll drop to about 68° with winds NNW 10-15mph and mostly clear skies.

Wednesday presents a slightly better chance of an isolated thunderstorm by the afternoon. Chances are still relatively low overall, but better than we experienced Tuesday. Expect a high temperature near 90° and NNW winds 5-15mph. Any isolated storm Wednesday or even Thursday has the opportunity to become severe, but if so, they will be very isolated.

Beyond Thursday, temperatures climb and potentially reach 100 by the weekend. The sun will be with us as well, so expect hot and dry conditions heading into next week. At least by next week, temps look like they'll reach only the mid 90s.

Oh by the way, summer officially starts at 5:07am on Thursday morning. I know we've had a bunch of days over 100° already, but there's that.

Bobby is back in the morning, and Chief Meteorologist Matt Ernst will be here Wednesday evening!
