Olton crop duster pilot dies in crash near Enid, OK

A crop duster pilot from Olton died Tuesday in a crash near Enid, Oklahoma, in the northern part of the state.

The Enid News & Eagle reports the Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the pilot as Rodney Sherry, 52. The plane struck a guy wire and crashed into a field. Sherry was the only person involved in the crash. Click here for the full report from the News & Eagle.

Deterding Aerial Spraying owned the plane. KOKH-TV reports a pilot from Deterding died in a similar crash in May in Canadian County, Oklahoma.
