Mild week with showers, warm and dry for the weekend

Evening showers and thunderstorms dissipate before midnight, and we'll be left mostly clear skies. Expect a low of 68 with SE winds 5-15mph.

Tuesday, we can expect another round of isolated showers and thunderstorms across the area with a high of 90. Average for this time of year is 91 for the afternoon high, so we can actually expect a more "typical" Lubbock afternoon tomorrow through at least Thursday. Winds will continue out of the SE around 5-15mph.

Expect the chance of some afternoon storms through at least Thursday. Beyond that, things look a little dry and sunny again, while temperatures are forecast to return to the upper 90s. Next week looks hot and dry again as well, so enjoy the "mild" weather with the afternoon showers while we have it.

Bobby will be here in the morning, Chief Meteorologist Matt Ernst and myself will be back Tuesday afternoon.
