Another hot day with some isolated storms possible tonight

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Clear and mild this Tuesday morning.

TODAY: HOT AGAIN! High near 99, mostly sunny with a light wind from the southeast 10-15mph.

TONIGHT: Low near 72, mostly clear sky. Slight chance for a few thunderstorms this evening and tonight mainly for the northern counties. I think the ridge of higher pressure will keep most of us dry.

WEDNESDAY: This ridge will have a lesser effect across the South Plains. This will help temperatures cool a little to the lower to mid 90s.

EXTENDED: These mild temperatures continuing into the weekend, just a little above the average at 91 degrees. Hurricane Bud off the western coast of Mexico will continue to weaken as it moves northeast. This may bring some better chances for rain across the area as we get into next week.

Join us on Good Day until 9am. Robert will have the next update on the News at Nine. Have a great Tuesday!
