Four Lubbock High students National Merit Scholarship winners

LUBBOCK, Texas -

News release from Lubbock ISD:

Four Lubbock ISD students received college-sponsored Merit Scholarships, among 3,500 winners announced today by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
 
College officials select the scholarship winners from the Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. The awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
 
The students, all from Lubbock High School, are listed below with their respective universities:
 
Georgeanna Gaines, Washington and Lee University
Michael Lee, Texas A&M University
Aiswarya Pillai, Texas Tech University
Jin Yeo, Vanderbilt University
