Arrington's legislation to improve services for disabled veterans signed into law

Washington D.C. -

President Trump signs a bill into law that will help take care of veterans.

The bill, authored by Lubbock Congressman Jodey Arrington ensures vets with service-connected disabilities are provided with the best in-home adaptation services at a reduced cost to taxpayers.

It transfers responsibility for home adaptations from the vocational rehabilitation and employment program to specially adapted housing agents.

Executive Director of Concerned Veterans for America Dan Caldwell says in a statement, "This bill reinforces the primary role of the V.A.: ensure veterans get the care they need, when and where they need it. This bill ensures veterans with service-connected disabilities get the care they need and allows them the freedom to live independently. We commend Representative Arrington for his diligent work on this important bill."
