Adding seafood to your diet may improve your love life

Posted: Updated:

Adding more seafood to your diet could help your sex life and your fertility.

Harvard researchers tracked the outcomes for couples for one year. All of them were planning a pregnancy. Everyone recorded how much seafood they ate as well as kept daily journals of their sexual activity. Couples who ate seafood more than twice a week had sex more often, and also were more likely to get pregnant than the couples who ate less seafood.

The team notes this link between seafood and pregnancy could not be explained solely by having more sex, and it suggests the seafood intake may affect the quality of a man's sperm or a woman's egg.
