Lubbock Chamber of Commerce recognizes Council, Lubbock ISD elects

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce honored those leaving local government and welcomed the new elects.

At a reception, the organization recognized Karen Gibson for her council service, as well as outgoing Lubbock ISD trustees Laura Vinson, James Arnold, and Mark Blankenship.

Re-elected Mayor Dan Pope, Councilmen Juan Chadis and Jeff Griffith and Lubbock ISD At-Large member and board president Zach Brady honored, as well as newly elected Councilman Randy Christian and school trustees Beth Bridges, Benjamin Webb, and Ryan Curry.

"We have such a great relationship with our elected officials. We just want to show them on behalf of the chamber and the business community how much we appreciate both their service to Lubbock, as well as the roles they have either performed in or are getting ready to perform in," Chamber President and CEO Eddie McBride said.

McBride said it's important the Chamber retains the good relationship with the city and school districts so they can bounce feedback off each other and give input where it's necessary.
