Warm again with storms this afternoon

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

Some good rain amounts with the active weather yesterday. None recorded in Lubbock as the storms developed just northeast of the city.

Another muggy start this morning with dew points in the 60s and temperatures comfortable.

TODAY: Warming to near 93, partly sunny with clouds increasing this afternoon. Dry line setting up for another active day as a stalled cold front moves into the area. Main threats continue to be large hail, high wind gusts, and heavy rainfall. Better chances later this afternoon and into the evening hours.

TONIGHT: Low near 63, showers and storms clearing out after sunset. May wake up to some fog early in the morning.

REST OF WEEK: Slight chances for storms as the Dry line moves across the area daily. Temperatures will be on the rise nearing 97 by Friday, with the wind kicking up Friday afternoon.

MORE STORM CHANCES: Almost the same set up with a cold front entering the picture and a Dry line this weekend. This will bring another chance for showers and storms with highs dropping to the 80s by Sunday.

Join us on Good Day until 9am. We will keep you updated through the day as storms develop, Matt will bring the next update on the News at Nine.

Have a great Tuesday! Keep rain on your mind.
