LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock grand jury indicted a man accused of beating his former girlfriend for downloading Snapchat.

Dameon Marmolejo, 20, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Court documents show he attacked the victim in June for putting the app on her phone.

She told police after he kicked and punched her he dragged her by the head and banged it against a bathtub several times. Investigators say Marmolejo called 9-1-1 then threw the phone at the victim and left.

Pair indicted another another charge

Ruby Banuelos, 18, and Francisco Rodriguez, 18, are charged with robbing the KFC near 19th and Milwaukee at gunpoint.

Court documents show Rodriguez lured a clerk to one of the doors then pulled a gun on him, demanding he open the safe. No one was hurt.

Police say they compared security video and identified the suspects. This is at least their second aggravated robbery indictment together.

Banuelos is also indicted on a third aggravated robbery charge, for shooting and robbing Michael Davis, 18. Rodriguez is charged in the attack but has not been indicted for it.

Man true billed for unauthorized use of motor vehicle

Grand jurors indicted Douglas Sowell, 22, for driving a stolen car. He was reportedly involved in a deadly crash at the beginning of April.

Investigators say Sowell took a woman's car, along with her purse, near 65th and Avenue U. The same day, another woman reported Sowell assaulted her and sped off in that car, which she says she knows was stolen.

Officers found Sowell near 68th and U May 7. They report finding a stolen gun from an assault earlier in the day. He has not been indicted for that charge.

Two charges for Zamora

Grand jurors indicted Joe Zamora, 46, for evading arrest and aggravated assault. Court records show in January Zamora hit a woman in the face with a shovel for asking about money he owed her. Investigators found the shovel in the back of a truck at Zamora's house.

In March officers say Zamora blew through an intersection. When they tried to pull him over he drove home. Police say he stepped out of the vehicle and threw the keys away.

Officers arrested him for an outstanding warrant sand say they found a rock of crystal meth in the truck.
