Tonight, expect clear skies with southwest winds around 10mph and a low temperature near 60 in Lubbock.
It seems like next week may be a little warmer than initially anticipated. In fact, Monday's high temperatures could reach the upper 90s in some places. Right now, we're forecasting 94 for the high in Lubbock. Expect the winds to pick up a bit as well out of the SSW around 15-25mph.
A weak front will be passing through the area later on Tuesday. This will increase some clouds into Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. Some computer models are calling for a slight chance of rain but I'm not entirely convinced at the moment that we'll see much of anything. There's a better chance of a thunderstorm or two toward the Panhandle around Amarillo.
The hottest day of the week looks like it will be on Friday. Expect this number to fluctuate as we approach the end of the week, possibly even increasing the temperature. It looks like we may cool down by Sunday. I'm keeping the high that day in the 80s, but it could trend even cooler as we get closer.
Bobby is back in the morning. Stay cool!
