LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock grand jury indicted two people on murder charges.

Trayvion Deshawn Caro, 19, was true billed for the death of Matthew Pickett, 32. Pickett's body was found March 9 when police were called to an apartment complex on 65th Drive, east of Avenue P.

Family members said Pickett was dog-sitting for a friend when a shot was fired through a window and hit him in the chest.

Investigators used surveillance video to identify Caro.

The grand jury also indicted Daniel Rangel, 19, for shooting and killing Isaias Rodriguez, 20, near North Akron and Amherst.

Court documents show Rangel was frequently spotted in the neighborhood with a gun, and even shot at homes. According to the affidavit, Rangel got into a fight with Rodriguez and at least three other men in an alley. Rangel pulled a gun from his waist and shot Rodriguez in the chest.

Police report a search warrant at Rangel's home produced a .40 caliber pistol, ammo and one spent shell casing.

Robbery charges

The grand jury also indicted a man on four separate robbery charges.

Andrew Pinkins, 20, is accused of a string of robberies along 34th Street over the course of a few days.

Court documents show he used a silver handgun to threaten cashiers at Family Dollar and E-Z Mart. Police later determined it was a BB gun found at his house.

Pinkins told police he did not have a weapon when he robbed a 7-Eleven and Subway, but he did cover his face. Pinkins said he had his hand in his pocket to make it look like he was armed.
