It was a warm day yesterday with some strong storms across the area. Most of the rain stayed to the southeastern half of the area. Higher amounts towards Sweetwater where they had over an inch.
EARLY TODAY: Cloudy, cool, and breezy. Sprinkles and light showers will continue with a few thunderstorms likely in the Rolling Plains. North wind staying 20-30mph, backing to 15-25 by the noon hours.
REST OF THE DAY: Clouds will be clearing from north to south, cooler highs further south in the upper 50s and low 60s. High staying cool elsewhere in the mid to upper 60s.
TONIGHT: Low near 40...Brrrrr! Clear sky and a calm wind changing to the southwest.
REST OF WEEK: Highs in the 70s with a mostly sunny sky. A little cooler Friday and breezy early morning from another front moving through the area. We might see some light sprinkles from this front but overall staying dry.
EXTENDED: Temperatures continue to warm to the 80s by next week. Chance for showers and storms starting on Sunday. For now the better chance on Sunday look to be west towards the TX/NM boarder.
