UPDATE: United Express, Phillips 66 gas stations experience fuel supply delays

Posted: Updated:

Many stations around town are currently experiencing fuel outages.

Phillips 66 has released a statement about the fuel supply delays.

Due to maintenance completed this weekend at the Borger Refinery, fuels production from the refinery is currently less than during ordinary operations.

Phillips 66 is working diligently to provide gasoline and diesel fuel in the Amarillo, Lubbock and Albuquerque areas.

To address any shortages in our fuel supply, we are working with our contracted customers to provide alternate supply via other Phillips 66 refineries, exchanges, and third-party purchases and by utilizing backup terminal locations where possible.

United Express has released an updated statement on the fuel supply delays.

Due to internal issues experienced by some of our major supply partners, many area fuel retailers, including United Express, continue to experience intermittent fuel supply delays.

United Express has great relationships with all of our transportation and supply partners and we are working diligently to minimize the inconvenience to our guests.
We are continuing to receive orders throughout the day and we expect very few locations to experience any long-term outages.

Updates from our supply partners still indicate that these delays will be short-lived. Time frames to 100% functionality are referenced in days, not weeks.
