Southeast wind has kept breezy over night and still breezy now. Temperatures are in the 40s and 50s to start this morning. Dew points are still a little dry but better than the single digits we had earlier this week.
TODAY: Staying cool across the area with highs in the 60s to low 70s. Warmer further south, southeast wind becoming windy 20-28mph.
Chance for storms increasing through the day, some storms could impact the Texas Tech baseball game that was moved to 2PM. Some severe possible, with better chances later this afternoon and evening hours. Greater risk to the southwest and western South Plains near the Texas/New Mexico boarder.
TONIGHT: Low near 47, 70% showers and storms, southeast wind 12-22mph.
WEEKEND: Upper level storm system will press across the area Saturday. Early Saturday the rain will be ending from west to east. Then on the back end of the system we may have additional showers before it clears out. Staying cool with the high near 67 Saturday, near 70 on Sunday.
RAIN TOTALS: It is possible for some locations to get up to an inch or more of rain with stronger storms. Most of the area will see around a 1/4-1/2 of an inch of rain through Saturday.
EXTENDED: Warming to near 80 by Tuesday before the next storm system drops high back down to the 60s. It will also bring a chance for storms late Tuesday through Wednesday.
