LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock police and the Lubbock SWAT team responded to a home in northeast Lubbock Friday afternoon because of reports of shots fired. The call was first to the 2400 block of East Seventh Street. Information led them to a vehicle parked at a home near N Zenith Ave and E Auburn St.

SWAT was called because the suspect was armed. Police were eventually able to take Oshandre Grimes, 21, into custody. He's charged with aggravated assault.

A LBK Alert was sent out around 3pm addressing the situation, asking the public to stay clear of the area.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
