LUBBOCK, Texas -

A Lubbock Police officer testified a man accused of aggravated robbery was covered in blood when investigators found him.

Bobby Cisneros, 55, is on trial for attacking David Michael, 59, inside the La Quinta Inn near Sixth Street and Avenue Q in October. Prosecutors say they got into a fight when Cisneros asked Michael for money.

Cisneros left when Michael didn't turn anything over. But prosecutors say Cisneros returned and stabbed the victim from behind, at least once in the head and several times in the back.

On the stand, an LPD investigator said blood was streaming from the victim's head. So much he couldn't determine the location of the wound. He says there were two knives at the scene, one with dried blood on it.

The officer said Cisneros had blood on his face, shoes, clothes and hands. The officer also testified blood spattered from the entryway into the lobby. Testimony will resume Wednesday.
