Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

After a breezy start to the morning the wind has calmed down. Stayed cool and mostly sunny with some cumulus clouds across the area.

TONIGHT: Low near average at 40. Mostly clear with a southeast wind returning and staying around 5-10mph.

GOOD FRIDAY: A nice afternoon with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Mostly sunny with a light breeze 10-20mph from the south. Nice weather conditions across Texas.

EASTER WEEKEND: Continue to warm to near 81 Saturday, light breeze continues from the west 10-20. Cold front late in the day will drop highs to the 50s and 60s Easter. Cloud cover will also help to keep the temperatures down, no precipitation. If traveling across Texas, expect the warm up as well and staying dry.

NEXT WEEK: A huge range in temperatures through the week so don't get comfortable. Returning to the 80s Monday, 60s again Wednesday. The wind will increase Tuesday through Thursday for breezy afternoons.

Matt will bring you the forecast tonight on the News at Nine. I will bring you the next update Friday morning on Good Day starting at 5AM.
