Mild start this morning with temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
TODAY: Upper ridge of high pressure will continue pressing east. This will bring much warmer temperatures, high near 86. Mostly sunny, southwest wind 10-18mph. Record high set back in 2016 at 87 degrees.
TONIGHT: Low near 56, wind increasing 12-22mph from the southwest, mostly to partly cloudy.
FRIDAY: High near 90, likely beating the old record of 87 degrees. Breezy southwest wind 15-25mph. This warm, breezy, dry air has lead to a Red Flag Warning across the South Plains from 1PM-9PM.
THIS WEEKEND: A little cooler but still above average with highs in the lower to mid 80s. Models are hinting some light sprinkles late Saturday early Sunday, but mainly we will stay dry.
RAIN CHANCES: We may see some rain coming next week. For now keeping a slight chance as we are still 6-8 days out and everything could move east of our area.
Join us on Good Day until 9AM, Matt will bring the next update tonight on the News at Nine. Have a great Thursday!
