THIS AFTERNOON: It's warmed nicely, into the 70s around most of our area. The wind hasn't been too bad either. A look to the west shows upper-level higher pressure moving this way. That means warmer days.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low 45. Wind SE/S 5-15mph.
TOMORROW: Even warmer, high near 86, mostly sunny. Wind SSW 10-18mph. The average high this time of year is 68.
NEXT FEW DAYS: The wind will get a little bit stronger with the high near 90 Friday. If we get to 90 it'll be the first time since October. The wildfire risk will be higher Friday and through the weekend.
It won't be much cooler Saturday and Sunday, both low to mid 80s, again breezy.
NEXT WEEK: We're finally seeing a welcome sign. We may get some rain. But I'll caution you that six to seven days out it's really just a trend to keep an eye on. Right now it looks like parts of our area could get a little bit of rain late Tuesday into Wednesday. It's not widespread, soaking rain...but it's a start.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast early tomorrow right here and on Good Day Lubbock.
