Temperatures are cool to start this morning with most of the area above the freezing mark. Light southeast wind makes it feel like the lower 30s, so a jacket will be needed on your commute to work.
TODAY: High near 76, mostly sunny sky, light breeze from the south 10-18mph.
TONIGHT: Low near 48, mostly clear.
REST OF WEEK: Staying warm almost summer-like with highs in the 80s and low 90s. The record highs both Thursday and Friday are at 87 degrees, likely to beat that on Friday. The wind will start to increase Thursday, leading to more fire concerns continuing into the weekend.
EXTENDED: Partly cloudy and breezy continuing into next week. Highs this weekend will drop a little, but still well above average for this time of year. Next week we will see rain chances returning to the area, for now it looks like better chances are mid to late in the week. FINALLY!!! Of course, things can chance and those rain chances can move east, so we will keep you updated on FOX 34.
Join us on Good Day Lubbock until 9AM, Matt will bring you the latest update tonight on the News at Nine. Have a great Wednesday!
