Brr.. chilly weather is in place this morning, as of 6:00 a.m. we're all sitting in the 20s across West Texas with overcast skies.
TODAY: Scattered showers in the form of freezing rain/a mix are already moving across our area this morning from southwest to northeast. With temps below freezing and falling precip.,
a light glaze of ice will be possible on some of our roadways which will create slick conditions. Showers will continue to move across our region throughout the day into tonight. The better chance for
accumulations will be off the caprock into the rolling plains (to the east of Lubbock), but we could all see a little bit. Our high is just 30 this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Lingering showers in the form of a mix with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 24.
TOMORROW: High 48 with isolated showers (rain/freezing rain) possible, mostly cloudy.
EXTENDED: Friday we'll dry out with warmer temps..a high of 66 and mostly sunny skies. This upcoming weekend we'll see breezy conditions, mostly sunny skies and lows in the upper 20s/highs in the 60s.
Early next week will be dry and sunny with nice afternoons.. highs in the 60s to 70.
