It was a nice afternoon until the cold front pressed into the area. This front brought temperatures down 10-20 degrees, the wind also kicked up blowing some dirt around. We have tied the second longest dry streak on record for Lubbock of 88 days.
TONIGHT: Low near 23, mostly clear sky, East/Southeast wind 8-16mph.
MONDAY: The day will start cold but quickly warming up, high near 70. Mostly sunny and breezy, Southwest wind 10-20mph.
EXTENDED: A second surge of colder air will move into the area early Tuesday. This will drop highs into the 30s – 50s Tuesday, with highs staying cold on Wednesday. The strong wind will return late week continuing into the weekend. Another front will drop highs back below average for next weekend.
