Suspect arrested after altercation led to shots fired at Lubbock residence

LUBBOCK, Texas -

A suspect was arrested after a reported drive-by shooting in a north Lubbock neighborhood on Oct. 19.

Gilberto Cardona Jr, 45,  was booked on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to police, the suspect fought with a resident in the 3200 block of Grinnell street, left, then drove back and fired about nine shots at the victim's home.

The victim's son reportedly armed himself with an AR-15 rifle and returned fire. 

No injuries were reported.
