An hour-long power outage near the Interstate and MLK may be linked to last night's storm.
Matt Rose with Lubbock Power and Light says primary electric line fell came into contact with some other equipment and caused a lockout at the nearby substation.
Traffic lights and about 1,100 customers in the area affected by the resulting outage.
Sparks from the downed line also caused a small grass fire.
Rose says high wind gusts Wednesday evening may have damaged the line.
He says LP&L crews remain on alert while the possibility of more storms continues over the next few days.
